Meet Author R. Suleman

R. Suleman is a former Pakistan Air Force fighter pilot turned author of children’s books, young adult novels, and literary fiction. It began when he saw his grandchildren spending their spare time on screens and wrote simple stories to win them back to books. Those stories became children’s books, then YA novels like The Invisible Girl, and finally his award-winning adult debut, When the World Held Its Breath. Drawing on decades of work with young people, he writes about family, resilience, and the bonds that hold us together.

"Through a heartfelt love story, it explores resilience, human connection, and the strength people discover when the world feels like it’s falling apart. Poignant and relatable, the book offers both a reminder of collective hardship and a celebration of enduring love in the face of crisis.”
